Job summary

Ellie Mental Health-Capital Region NY seeks a compassionate Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner to join our outpatient clinic. You will perform psychiatric assessments, diagnose conditions, and manage medications for a diverse client population across the lifespan in a collaborative care setting.

Qualifications

• Active and unrestricted Florida APRN license.
• Board Certification as Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP-BC).
• DEA registration and eligibility to prescribe controlled substances.
• Master’s or Doctoral degree in Nursing from an accredited program.
• Current BLS certification (if applicable).
• Experience with outpatient psychiatric care preferred.

Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive psychiatric evaluations and risk assessments.
• Diagnose mental health and behavioral health conditions.
• Develop individualized treatment plans in collaboration with clients and care teams.
• Prescribe, monitor, and adjust psychotropic medications.
• Provide medication education and supportive counseling.
• Order and interpret labs or diagnostic tests as appropriate.
• Maintain timely, accurate, and compliant clinical documentation.
• Provide crisis intervention and safety planning when necessary.
• Collaborate with therapists, case managers, and medical providers.
• Coordinate referrals and continuity of care.
• Communicate effectively with clients, families, and external providers.
• Adhere to clinic policies, HIPAA compliance, and regulatory requirements.
• Support quality improvement initiatives and outcome tracking.
• Participate in staff meetings and clinical supervision as required.

We are seeking a compassionate, skilled Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner to join our outpatient mental health clinic. Key Responsibilities
