Job summary

AvMed, a division of Sentara Health Plans, is hiring a Sales Executive, IFP for the Tampa, Orlando and North Florida area. The role cultivates broker relationships and manages the full sales cycle to achieve profitable net new business in Florida.

You will present to decision makers, conduct member education sessions, and collaborate with marketing, underwriting and customer service to support broker and client needs.

Qualifications

• Associate's degree with 2 years of relevant sales or customer relations experience, or HS diploma with 4 years of related experience.
• Florida 2-40 Health Insurance License within 90 days of hire (or broader 2-15 Health & Life License).
• Valid Florida Driver's License required.

Responsibilities

• Cultivate and manage relationships with assigned brokers to drive growth.
• Manage the full sales cycle from prospecting to close for net new business.
• Present to decision-makers and key influencers within client organizations.
• Conduct member education sessions as requested to enhance product understanding.
• Collaborate with internal teams (marketing, underwriting, customer service) to support broker and client needs.
• Stay informed on industry trends and market dynamics to identify new opportunities.
