Job summary

Jobot is seeking a Construction Litigation Attorney for a boutique construction law firm in Florida. The role handles construction defect and business litigation, from pre-suit through trial, with emphasis on strategy, documentation, and advocacy.

The candidate will draft pleadings, manage deadlines, work with engineers and architects, and engage in mediation/arbitration as needed. Florida Bar admission is required.

Qualifications

• Active membership in The Florida Bar.
• JD from an accredited law school.
• Board certification preferred for senior candidates.
• Experience in construction defect and business litigation.
• Strong motion practice and legal writing skills.
• Experience working with experts (engineers/architects).
• Mediation/arbitration and trial experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Manage construction defect litigation and construction business litigation from pre-suit through trial.
• Coordinate with experts and analyze project documents.
• Litigate disputes involving owners, contractors, subcontractors, and design professionals.
• Draft pleadings, motions, briefs; take/defend depositions; plan discovery strategies.
• Evaluate exposure, advise clients on risk and budgets.
• Attend hearings, mediations, and arbitrations; support trial prep.
• Collaborate with teammates and staff to keep matters organized.
