Jobot seeks an experienced Construction Defect Attorney to join our Florida team, representing owners, developers, contractors, design professionals, and insurers in complex disputes.

The ideal candidate will bring strong litigation skills and deep knowledge of Florida construction law, managing matters from inception through resolution while collaborating with a broad network of industry experts.

Qualifications

• J.D. from an accredited law school.
• Admission to the Florida Bar in good standing.
• 2+ years of construction defect or construction litigation experience.
• Strong knowledge of Florida construction statutes and related case law.
• Experience with expert-intensive litigation.
• Excellent legal research, writing, and oral advocacy skills.
• Strong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple matters.
• Independent work style with collaborative teamwork.
• Experience representing developers, owners, contractors, design professionals, or insurers.
• Trial, arbitration, or evidentiary hearing experience.
• Familiarity with condominium and HOA construction defect claims.

Responsibilities

• Handle construction defect matters involving residential, multifamily, commercial, and mixed-use projects.
• Represent clients in state and federal court litigation, arbitration, and mediation.
• Draft and respond to construction defect notices, pleadings, motions, discovery, and expert reports.
• Analyze construction contracts, plans, specifications, and related project documentation.
• Work with engineers, architects, and contractors.
• Conduct and defend depositions; participate in hearings, mediations, and trials.
• Advise clients on risk management, claim evaluation, and dispute resolution strategies.
• Collaborate with partners and other attorneys on complex, multi-party construction disputes.
• Assist with client development and maintain strong client relationships.
