SEH is hiring a Florida Civil / Municipal Growth Leader to lead our growing Florida practice, focusing on municipal growth and strategy.

Responsibilities

• Set the vision, drive strategic growth, and represent SEH as a trusted partner to municipalities throughout Florida.
• Lead the Florida civil practice, building on an established and capable team serving communities across the Florida Panhandle and beyond.
• Shape and execute growth strategy by identifying target markets, priority audiences, and scalable growth opportunities.
• Build talented teams and client portfolios by leveraging firmwide resources across markets to drive growth strategies.
• Own and direct multi-practice projects, setting strategic direction and ensuring seamless execution across regions.
• Mentor talent, win new work, and deliver exceptional results to advance the practice.

Essential Qualifications

• Demonstrated leadership in setting and executing market strategy, aligning project delivery and business development to drive sustained, profitable growth.
• Expert at orchestrating cross‑disciplinary teams to deliver complex projects efficiently and at scale.
• Trusted partner to senior internal leaders, shaping growth strategies and evaluating high‑impact market opportunities.
• Deep, established executive network across Florida, with strong market presence and influence.
• Proven record of winning, expanding, and retaining client relationships.
• Motivated by ownership and long‑term impact, ready to join SEH as an employee owner with direct accountability for the market’s success.
• Registered as a Professional Engineer in the state of Florida.

Preferred Qualifications

• Fifteen (15) years of experience leading market or regional growth strategies, with accountability for business development, client expansion, and delivery performance.
• Demonstrated success overseeing complex, multidisciplinary project portfolios, balancing strategic vision with operational execution.
• Ability to influence and collaborate at the executive level, partnering with internal leaders to shape investment priorities and long‑term growth plans.
• Prior experience in, or strong alignment with, an employee‑owned organization, embracing shared accountability for growth, profitability, and legacy.

Compensation & Benefits

• Base compensation in the range of $140,000 to $180,000, based on skill set and experience.
