Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Associate's degree preferred.
• Must be certified in the State of Florida as a Police Officer.
• US citizen and at least 21 years of age.

Responsibilities

• Performs traffic enforcement police work through the enforcement of traffic laws and ordinances in the community.
• Assists in towing, placement, and setup of equipment such as speed trailers and message boards.
• Responds to rescue calls and renders medical aid and emergency assistance as necessary.
• Enforces laws and ordinances of the City, County, and State; makes arrests and processes prisoners; gives depositions and court testimonies.
• Operates and maintains police vehicles and equipment, including firearms, radios, and computers.
• Performs other police related duties as ordered by the Chief of Police in exigent circumstances.
