Job description

Job Summary:

Retail Member Advisor's primary responsibilities include servicing existing members through issue resolution and product consulting, as well as acquiring new and renewal business.

Essential Functions:
  • Provide a customer-friendly service experience for questions or issues related to healthcare, health insurance, or related topics.
  • Resolve member issues, including product and billing inquiries.
  • Educate members on self-service tools.
  • Guide members to value-based providers.
  • Host customer video appointments.
  • Generate leads for new sales and for the sale of replacement and add-on products.
  • Generate referrals from existing clients.
  • Identify at-risk customers; develop and implement retention strategies that meet customer needs.
  • Use lead management tools to contact prospects for sales opportunities.
  • Set appointments for sales visits.
  • Conduct retention consultations.
  • Sell health and ancillary insurance products to Florida individual consumers and small groups.
  • Analyze prospect needs and match them to BCBSF products.
  • Conduct plan comparisons and analyses for existing members seeking new solutions.
  • Facilitate application processes and perform field underwriting; advise customers on eligibility, rates, and riders.
  • Monitor enrollment processes in partnership with the Direct Sales' Senior Advisor.
  • Promote and facilitate APO enrollment and setup.
  • Review and deliver product fulfillment materials to customers.
  • Ensure new customers receive orientations and information regarding self-service tools, incentives, and value-added features.
  • Perform outbound call campaigns for Under 65 and Over 65 segments.
Required Experience:

3+ years of related work experience in a sales and service environment. Valid Florida 2-40 license within 60 days. Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Proficiency in MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and web-based tools. Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays. Agents employed with Florida Blue can schedule appointments with Florida Blue, USAble, FCL, and Health Options. No other health and life appointments are permitted with other companies while employed.

Preferred Qualifications:

Experience with health insurance products, including individual and group plans. Bilingual in Spanish/English. Bachelor's degree in a related field such as Marketing.

General Physical Demands:

Sedentary work: exerting up to 10 pounds of force occasionally. Traversing activities are required only occasionally.

Benefits vary by state and employment type. Compensation includes competitive pay and potential incentives or commissions. Regular performance reviews are conducted for pay adjustments.

Hourly Pay Range: $20 - $33
Typical Pay Range: $20 - $25
Final pay will consider market competitiveness, internal equity, and your skills and experience.
