FLORAL/LEAD CLERK (Finance)

Minimum requirements:

• Ability to handle stressful situations
• Effective communication skills
• Knowledge of basic math

Preferred qualifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Floral experience
• Retail experience
• Second language skills (speaking, reading, and/or writing)

Key responsibilities:

• Promote trust and respect among associates.
• Create a welcoming environment for customers by answering questions about products and store services.
• Maintain knowledge of products sold within the department.
• Ensure sanitation standards and health regulations are met.
• Order, stock, and monitor supplies, maintaining their condition and appearance.
• Merchandise and display products to boost sales.
• Implement price changes and ensure scan accuracy.
• Monitor product quality and remove poor-quality items.
• Control inventory and maintain records.
• Communicate with vendors and manage inventory received.
• Implement company programs and communicate their purpose and procedures to team members.
• Review display plans and execute them according to guidelines.
• Prepare signage and perform inventory counts.
• Attend training sessions and meetings.
• Review financial statements and follow up on discrepancies.
• Communicate with management and staff about store operations.
• Implement safety procedures, report unsafe conditions, and participate in safety programs.
• Perform equipment inspections and report maintenance needs.
• Notify management of accidents, safety risks, or illegal activities.
• Perform essential functions with or without accommodations.
