Job summary

Albertsons Companies Inc. is seeking a Floral Designer who brings creativity and care to every arrangement. You will design distinctive floral pieces, maintain display spaces, and ensure products stay fresh and well-presented.

You’ll interact with customers to understand their vision and translate it into beautiful, lasting designs. You’ll also handle stocking, inventory, and safe lifting up to 40 lbs, using floral tools and basic POS systems.

Qualifications

• Experience in floral arrangement and design with strong creative eye.
• Familiar with floral perishability, seasonality, and care requirements.
• Ability to engage with customers and translate ideas into beautiful arrangements.
• Capable of maintaining clean, efficient workspaces and managing inventory.
• Ability to lift up to 40 lbs and stand for long periods.
• Familiarity with floral tools, helium tanks, and basic POS systems.

A Day in the Life:

As a Floral Designer, no two days are ever the same. Customers walk in with dreams—visions of romance, celebration, or heartfelt remembrance—and you bring those visions to life. With creativity and care, you design stunning arrangements using your knowledge of floral seasonality and perishability. You maintain clean, organized workspaces and displays, replenish inventory, and ensure every stem and ribbon is perfectly placed. You’ll also lift and move floral products and supplies, often up to 40 lbs., and work with helium tanks and other tools of the trade. If you have a green thumb, a creative eye, and a passion for helping others celebrate life’s moments, this is the role for you.

What you bring to the table:

• Floral Design Expertise: Experience in floral arrangement and design, with a strong creative eye and attention to detail.

• Product Knowledge:Familiar with floral perishability, seasonality, and care requirements.

• Customer Service Skills: Ability to engage with customers, uncover their needs, and translate their ideas into beautiful arrangements.

• Organizational Skills:Capable of maintaining clean, efficient workspaces and managing inventory and supplies.

• Physical Capability:Ability to lift up to 40 lbs. with or without accommodation and perform tasks that require standing and moving throughout the day.

• Technical Skills:Familiarity with floral tools, helium tanks, and basic point-of-sale systems.

• Teamwork:Willingness to partner with fellow associates and contribute to a positive team environment.

Pay Transparency:

Starting rates will be no less than the local minimum wage and may vary based on things like location, experience, qualifications and the terms of any applicable collective bargaining agreement. Dependent on length of service, hours worked and any applicable collective bargaining agreement, benefits include medical, dental, vision, disability and life insurance, sick pay (accrued based on hours worked), PTO/Vacation pay (accrued based on hours worked), paid holidays (between 7-9 days annually), bereavement pay, and retirement benefits (pension and/or 401(k) eligibility).
