At Hy-Vee, our floral department is where creativity meets customer care, and our Floral Designers are at the heart of it. In this role, you'll create beautiful arrangements to customer specifications, serve as a lead for floral clerks, and ensure the department is stocked, fresh, and running smoothly. From processing FTD and Teleflora orders to counseling customers on floral care and stepping up to lead the department when needed, your expertise and passion make every customer interaction memorable. To be successful in this role, you'll need to be able to:
Accountable and Reports to: Store Director; Store Manager; Assistant Managers of Perishables, Store Operations, Health Wellness Home; Floral Department Manager
High school diploma or equivalent Three years of similar or related work experience preferred
This is a fast-moving role with significant pressure to meet deadlines and manage multiple priorities. You'll work primarily in a store environment and can expect exposure to dirt, noise, dampness, temperature extremes, and cleaning chemicals and solvents. Some holidays may require extended hours. Safety is always a priority, and training is provided to help ensure a safe and supportive work environment.
Employment is contingent upon the successful completion of a pre employment drug screen.
