Job summary

Hen House is seeking a Floral Designer Clerk to join our floral department. You will help create attractive displays, maintain freshness of floral products, and assist guests in selecting perfect arrangements for everyday occasions and events.

This role emphasizes friendly guest service, knowledge of floral products, and collaboration with team members to ensure a visually appealing, guest-ready department.

Qualifications

• High school diploma, GED, or equivalent work experience.
• Ability to work a flexible schedule, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
• Experience in retail, grocery, or customer service environments.
• Experience working with flowers, plants, or basic floral design.
• Knowledge of plant care and maintenance.
• Ability to create basic floral arrangements or gift displays.

Responsibilities

• Provide friendly, helpful, and respectful guest service at all times to ensure a positive shopping experience and encourage repeat visits.
• Receive, condition, and arrange floral products to create attractive displays and maintain freshness.
• Create, maintain, and refresh floral displays, bouquets, and seasonal arrangements.
• Monitor water levels and cooler conditions to ensure high-quality floral offerings.
• Stock, rotate, and face products using FIFO methods to maintain freshness and minimize waste.
• Assist guests with floral selections, custom arrangements, special orders, and care tips.

Education
