Job summary

Kroger is seeking a Floral Department Supervisor at our South Jordan, UT store. You will lead the floral team, model friendly service, and ensure policies are followed while delivering high-quality arrangements and timely Florist Transworld Delivery orders.

You will train staff on pricing, merchandising, and customer care, manage stock, and maintain clean, organized departments. Strong communication and supervisory skills are essential for success.

Responsibilities

  • Develop maximum customer relations by floral department personnel through personal example of friendliness and courtesy and implementation of all company policies.
  • Be perceptive and handle customer complaints.
  • Receive, process, and produce Florist Transworld Delivery orders for delivery.
  • Coach and train on pricing, price marking, rotation, stocking, and customer courtesy.
  • Provide active support of our Customer 1st culture.
  • Plan, organize, direct and control the activities of the Floral Department.
  • Direct the receiving, storing, pricing, and merchandising of all floral products.
  • Order properly to maintain adequate stock and guard against waste and pilferage.
  • Maintain and submit required records and reports and use them effectively.
  • Maintain effective and good house cleaning in all areas.
  • Analyze continuously all aspects of Floral Department and recommend changes to store manager.
  • Promote and implement company initiatives and process improvements to direct reports.
  • Supervise and coach direct reports; conduct performance reviews and provide feedback.
  • Work cooperatively in a high paced and sometimes stressful environment.
  • Manage conflict in a reasonable, nonconfrontational manner.
  • Act with honesty and integrity regarding customer and business information.
  • Follow directions and seek assistance to resolve issues.
  • Provide support interacting with minors, individuals with special needs, and/or older adults.
  • Perform essential functions with or without reasonable accommodation.

Job description

Implement all company and division policies to achieve maximum sales and profits in the Floral department. Role model and demonstrate the company's core values of respect, honesty, integrity, diversity, inclusion and safety of others.
