Qualifications

• Ability to follow company customer service procedures and demonstrate prior customer service experience.
• Previous experience or training as floral clerk or designer.
• Desirable: prior management experience.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service as defined by the employer within policy.
• Train, schedule, and supervise floral clerks to ensure adequate staffing.
• Write schedule for Floral Department with Store Director approval.
• Follow merchandising plan guidelines.
• Resolve customer problems related to floral area.
• Design aesthetically pleasing floral arrangements for display or customer needs.
• Manage inventory to drive sales and profits.
• Perform daily inventory and order supplies as needed.
• Input floral department orders into computer.
• Stock and maintain floral displays and remove expired items.
• Operate balloon inflation equipment.
• Water plants with sprayers.
• Maintain cleanliness of floral area and operate cash register.
• Monitor inter-office mail and company web page daily for updates.
