Job summary

ShopRite in Vernon, CT is seeking a Floral Department Supervisor to effectively direct and supervise all Floral Department functions and staff. You will lead associates to achieve sales, customer experience, and engagement goals while upholding safety and department standards.

The role emphasizes customer service, teamwork, and strong leadership in a busy retail setting, reporting to the General Store Manager at the Vernon location.

Qualifications

• Ability to read, write, speak, analyze, interpret, and understand English.
• Ability to perform basic math.
• Ability to stand/walk for the duration of a shift.
• Ability to perform basic computer functions.
• Ability to lift 25 lbs. regularly and up to 60 lbs. occasionally.
• Ability to work with fresh, dried and/or processed products and tolerate temps.
• Ability to climb a ladder and interact with customers in a friendly way.

Responsibilities

• Direct and supervise all functions and activities of the Floral Department and its associates to achieve department goals.
• Lead associates to achieve sales, profit, customer experience, and engagement objectives.
• Greet customers and provide prompt, courteous service.
• Maintain safety, presentation, and efficiency standards in department operations.
• Ensure proper stocking, pricing, and display of floral merchandise.
• Administer training, onboarding, and performance feedback for department staff.
