Job summary

ShopRite of Hadley Commons in South Plainfield, NJ is seeking a Floral Clerk to price, stock and rotate merchandise in the Floral Department, keeping displays neat, clean and visually appealing.

You will assist customers, fill balloons, wrap and price merchandise, and follow receiving/stock procedures while maintaining safety and QA standards.

This role requires physical stamina to lift up to 50 lbs and flexibility to work overtime as needed.

Qualifications

• Read, write, and understand English.
• Basic math ability for pricing and counting.
• Stand/walk for scheduled shift.
• Lift 25–50 lbs regularly; occasional 50 lbs.
• Interact with customers in a friendly manner.
• Work cooperatively with others and follow schedules.

Responsibilities

• Maintain sanitation, QA standards, and cleanliness in the Floral Dept.
• Greet customers and assist with balloons, wrapping, pricing, and restocking.
• Follow procedures for receiving, dating, stocking, and pricing items.
• Identify flowers and plants and provide care guidance.
• Keep displays neat, signed, and stocked with attractive merchandise.
• Handle damaged products per policy and manage safe handling of products.
• Adhere to safety, QA, and company policies and training requirements.
