Job summary

ShopRite's Floral Clerk position at Inserra NJ offers daily interaction with customers, pricing, stocking and rotating merchandise in the Floral Department. You will maintain a neat, appealing display and support sales while following safety and QA standards.

The role requires standing for long periods, lifting up to 50 lbs occasionally, and working flexible shifts. Competitive hourly pay and benefits are provided.

Qualifications

• Ability to read, write, speak English fluently.
• Ability to perform basic math.
• Stand/walk for full shifts.
• Frequent lifting up to 25 lbs and occasional up to 50 lbs.
• Work with fresh, dried and processed products safely.
• Tolerance to dust and cleaning agents.
• Ability to work in varying temperatures.
• Friendly interaction with customers and teamwork.

Responsibilities

• Maintain department sanitation and QA standards.
• Operate a baler and compactor.
• Greet customers and assist with balloons, wrapping, pricing merchandise.
• Receive, date, store, and price-mark products to ensure quality and rotation.
• Identify flowers and plants and advise customers on care.
• Keep display cases stocked and attractive with signage.
• Handle damaged products as per policy and limit waste.
• Unload trucks and transport items to the Floral Department (up to 50 lbs).
• Check refrigeration equipment regularly and report issues.
• Follow local, state, and federal regulations and company safety rules.
• Dress according to policy and complete QA hand-washing standards.
• Attend all department trainings and follow ShopRite priorities.
