Job summary

Hy-Vee Floral Clerk position in the Floral Department provides friendly, in-person and phone support for customers placing floral orders. You will assist in creating beginner-level arrangements, restock products, and maintain an attractive department environment.

This hourly role emphasizes strong customer service, teamwork, and a willingness to learn. Training is provided to help you excel in a fast-paced retail setting at Hy-Vee locations.

Qualifications

• No high school diploma required; equivalent experience accepted.
• Six months of similar or related work preferred; we'll provide all the training you need to succeed.

Responsibilities

• Greet customers and assist with floral orders in person or by phone.
• Prepare, finish, and replenish floral products including small arrangements and bouquets.
• Process ordered and confidential order details (FTD, Teleflora, computer orders).
• Review floral products for freshness and anticipate daily needs for the department.
• Maintain cleanliness and appearance of the department, including coolers and counters.
• Operate the department register, process payments, and make change as applicable.
