Quality Food Centers, Inc. in Seattle is seeking an assistant to design and merchandise floral items and respond to customer requests. You will assist in creating attractive displays and providing friendly service.

The role requires clear communication, ability to read labels, multi-task in a fast-paced environment, and safe handling of cleaning solutions and equipment. Weekend and holiday availability is required.

• Help design and create floral arrangements and/or other items to fill customer orders.
• Package orders safely and efficiently.
• Maintain merchandise and supplies in their proper areas.
• Assist in decorating and merchandising the department.
• Keep floors clean, safe, and free from clutter.
• Maintain customer records and files properly.
• Handle telephone calls and orders promptly and courteously.
• Operate cash register in accordance with company procedures.
• Maintain flexibility to work weekends and holidays as needed.

Assist in the design and/or merchandising of floral items and arrangements for display/sale or in response to customer requests. Provide various customer services. Demonstrate the company's core values of respect, honesty, integrity, diversity, inclusion and safety.

Minimum

• Demonstrates effective written and oral communication skills
• Ability to read shelf tags, signs, product labels, training materials, and bulletins
• Ability to multi-task, set priorities, present information in a professional manner and work with all levels of the organization

• Possess abilities and skills for effective production, merchandising, and customer services related to sale of merchandise
• Must be able to work with various cleaning solutions, safely use sharp tools, and carefully operate all production equipment
