C&F Howe Construction LLC in New York, NY is seeking a skilled Flooring Technician to join our growing team on residential and commercial projects.

You will install, repair, and finish flooring materials including hardwood, LVP, ceramic tile, and carpet, read blueprints, and ensure quality workmanship while meeting project timelines. The role requires physical stamina, reliable transportation, and the ability to travel to job sites across New York.

Qualifications

• Experience installing hardwood, LVP, tile, and carpet.
• Ability to read blueprints and project specs.
• Physically able to lift heavy material and work in various conditions.
• Willing to travel to NY job sites.

Responsibilities

• Install, repair, and finish a variety of flooring materials including Concrete, tile, and carpet
• Prepare subfloors by cleaning, leveling, and ensuring proper surface conditions prior to installation
• Measure and cut flooring materials accurately to fit rooms, hallways, and irregular spaces
• Apply adhesives, grout, nails, or staples as required by flooring type and manufacturer specifications
• Inspect completed installations for quality, alignment, and adherence to project specifications
• Collaborate with project managers, contractors, and other tradespeople to meet project timelines
• Maintain tools, equipment, and job site cleanliness in accordance with safety standards

• Physical ability to lift heavy materials, kneel, and work in various conditions
• Reliable transportation and ability to travel to job sites throughout New York, NY
• Strong work ethic, punctuality, and ability to work both independently and as part of a team
