Job summary

Sunbelt Rentals in San Antonio, TX seeks a Flooring Solutions Technician 2 to support leadership with exemplary service and skilled operation of equipment. You will perform maintenance, cleaning, and repairs while maintaining safety and compliance with company standards.

Responsibilities include equipment check-ins, loading/unloading, detailed prep for repairs, and coordinating deliveries with customers. Prior 3-5 years mechanic experience and tools are required; benefits are provided.

Qualifications

• 3-5 years of mechanic experience with IC engines, propane, electrical and hydraulic systems.
• High school diploma or GED; trade training preferred.
• Must provide mechanic's tools of trade.
• Excellent troubleshooting skills.
• Safety-conscious and able to prioritize in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Performs check-ins when equipment is returned to the shop.
• Assists with loading and unloading of equipment as needed.
• Cleans, pressure washes, and preps equipment for repairs and rent-ready status.
• Perform full-service maintenance on all equipment, diagnoses, and repairs most mechanical problems.
• Maintain safe work environment and perform duties in accordance with safety standards.
• Keeps track of rental equipment (inventory) and coordinates deliveries, pick-ups and service calls with customers.
• Maintains warehouse area.
• Cleans, repairs, orders, and installs all necessary parts to ensure standards are met.
• Sources and manages the inventory of parts and supplies.
• Completes and maintains equipment service records including damage repair, preventive maintenance, and warranty processing.
• Ensure decals are replaced and equipment is cleaned, then detailed.
• Operates company vehicle safely with valid driver’s license and clean record.
• Keeps records and maintains company vehicle, including washing, oil changes and safety checks.
• Maintains and tracks company tools and supplies; report broken tools to supervisor.
• Oversees wash bay and maintains a safe, clean work environment.
• Communicates professionally with customers and managers to schedule deliveries and service calls.
• Completes paperwork for deliveries, pickups and service calls.
• Directs customers to sign paperwork; tracks serial numbers.
• Delivers and installs rented equipment; trains operator on safe use.
• Implements proper and safe procedures.
• Works with managers to maintain records of in-stock and rented equipment.
• On call for emergency service on weekends and evenings.
