  • Operate floor care equipment including lowspeed buffers, highspeed burnishers, autoscrubbers, and wet/dry vacuums.
  • Extract and deep-clean carpets using commercial extractors.
  • Clean and maintain equipment, ensuring proper operation and safety.
  • Sweep, scrub, and prep floors prior to finishing applications.
  • Apply finish coats evenly and safely while following required drytime standards.
  • Monitor floor conditions and identify when refinishing or repairs are needed.
  • Follow all safety procedures, particularly around chemicals, PPE, and slip hazards.
  • Move furniture and set up/take down work areas as needed.
  • Work independently or as part of a project team to complete floor care schedules on time.
  • Communicate with supervisors regarding progress, supplies, and any site issues.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Overview

The Floor Technician is responsible for performing specialized floor care services to maintain the appearance, cleanliness, and longevity of hardsurface floors and carpeted areas. This role requires skilled operation of floor machines and the ability to complete projects such as stripping, waxing, burnishing, buffing, carpet extraction, and deep cleaning.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

WORK AUTHORIZATION/SECURITY CLEARANCE:

DoD Secret or higher security clearance, or the ability to obtain and maintain a Secret clearance. U.S. Citizenship is required.

ADDITIONAL QUALIFYING FACTORS:

As a condition of employment, must pass a pre-employment drug screening, as well as have acceptable reference and background check results.
