Job Description

The Floor Technician is responsible for maintaining, restoring, and operating industrial floor care equipment in assigned locations. Responsibilities may vary by Aramark location based on client requirements and business needs.

Job Responsibilities
  1. Maintain a friendly, efficient, and positive attitude towards customers, clients, and co-workers.
  2. Anticipate and respond to customer needs.
  3. Follow proper procedures for hard floor care, including stripping, refinishing, burnishing, spray cleaning, and spray buffing, in accordance with hard surface floor maintenance principles.
  4. Perform carpet and upholstery cleaning, including shampooing, damp surface cleaning, extraction, spot cleaning, and vacuuming.
  5. Operate industrial floor care equipment as scheduled for large surface areas.
  6. Conduct maintenance and restorative processes for all types of floor surfaces.
  7. Properly dispose of municipal solid waste, infectious, and pharmaceutical waste, including rendering infectious waste as MSW.
  8. Remove trash, recyclables, soiled linen, and used supplies, and disinfect receptacles and carts as needed.
  9. Follow all safety, sanitation, and infection control standards and procedures, complying with local regulatory requirements.
  10. Adhere to Aramark appearance standards, including wearing the required uniform and PPE while working.

Qualifications
  • Previous experience as a floor care technician or in a related role, with knowledge of floor care equipment preferred.
  • Ability to read, write, and perform basic math to facilitate communication and task execution.

This role may involve physical demands such as lifting, bending, pushing, pulling, and extended walking and standing. Uniforms and PPE are required as part of the role.
