Southern HealthCare Management is seeking a Floor Technician to support our care facility team in Jacksonville, FL. The role focuses on floor care, safety, and maintaining a clean, efficient environment to support staff and residents.

You will follow established service standards, perform routine maintenance on equipment, and collaborate with HR and leadership to meet career goals and benefits. This full-time position offers growth, teamwork, and a supportive workplace culture.

Qualifications

• Sufficient education to demonstrate functional literacy.
• Prior floor tech experience in an institutional environment preferred.

Responsibilities

• Performs preventative maintenance checks on all equipment prior to use.
• Secure the work area and post proper safety notices for other users of the space prior to beginning work.
• Floor care, including routine mopping (dry and damp), buffing and burnishing on hard surface floors and stairwells.
• Vacuuming, shampooing, bonneting, and extracting carpets, stairwells and upholstery.
• Maintenance of floor care equipment.
• Wall cleaning.
• Dusting (high and low).
• Periodic cleaning of restrooms, offices, or classrooms (as assigned by supervisor).
