Job summary

Bluebird Wellness & Rehabilitation in St. Louis is seeking a Floor Technician to maintain clean, safe, and welcoming spaces for residents and staff.

You will perform routine and deep cleaning of floors across hallways, rooms, and common areas, while following infection control procedures and safety guidelines. Ideal candidates have a high school diploma or GED and at least 1 year of healthcare or commercial cleaning experience, with a strong eye for detail and the ability to work independently

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or GED preferred.
  • Minimum 1 year experience in housekeeping, floor care, or maintenance in a healthcare or commercial setting preferred.
  • Knowledge of floor care equipment, cleaning chemicals, and safety procedures.
  • Ability to follow schedules and work independently.
  • Strong attention to detail and a team player mindset.

Responsibilities

  • Perform routine and deep cleaning of floors, including sweeping, mopping, stripping, waxing, buffing, and carpet care.
  • Maintain cleanliness in all facility areas such as hallways, restrooms, resident rooms, and common spaces.
  • Follow safety and infection control procedures, including proper signage and use of cleaning chemicals and equipment.
  • Support basic maintenance tasks like changing light bulbs, cleaning vents, and washing windows.
  • Monitor and restock cleaning supplies as needed.
  • Assist with outdoor upkeep including sweeping entrances and cleaning patio furniture.
  • Collaborate with staff to ensure a safe and pleasant environment for residents and visitors.
