Job description

We are hiring immediately for full-time FLOOR TECHNICIAN positions.

Location: Freeman Health System Joplin - 1102 West 32nd Street, Joplin, MO 64804. Note: online applications accepted only.

Schedule: Full-time. Days may vary, 3:30 pm to 12:00 am; rotating weekends. More details upon interview.

Requirement: Previous floor technician experience, including scrubbing, burnishing, stripping, and waxing floors, is strongly preferred.

Pay Range: $15.00 to $18.00 per hour

Job Summary

Summary: The Floor Technician is responsible for floor maintenance, restoration, and operating industrial floor care equipment.

Essential Functions

• Maintain knowledge of principles of hard-surface floor maintenance and proper procedures including stripping, refinishing, burnishing, spray cleaning, and buffing
• Operate various types of industrial floor care equipment
• Utilize automated equipment for cleaning large floor areas
• Perform carpet and upholstery cleaning, including shampooing, spot cleaning, vacuuming, etc.
• Conduct maintenance and restorative processes for all floor surface types
• Perform other duties as assigned by the manager

Qualifications

• Previous experience as a floor care technician or related role preferred
• Knowledge of floor care equipment and techniques required
• Ability to follow safety procedures
• Requires frequent lifting, carrying, pushing, pulling of up to 50 lbs.
