Job Opening: Floor Technician

We are hiring immediately for a full-time Floor Technician position at Detroit Receiving Hospital, located at 4201 Saint Antoine Street, Detroit, MI 48201. Online applications are accepted only.

Requirement: Two years of prior floor refinishing experience is required.

Pay Range: $18.10 to $19.60 per hour.

Job Summary

The Floor Technician is responsible for maintaining, restoring floors, and operating industrial floor care equipment.

Essential Functions

1. Maintain knowledge of hard-surface floor maintenance principles and procedures, including stripping, refinishing, burnishing, spray cleaning, and buffing.
2. Operate various types of industrial floor care equipment.
3. Utilize automated equipment for large area floor cleaning.
4. Perform carpet and upholstery cleaning, including shampooing, spot cleaning, vacuuming, etc.
5. Perform maintenance and restorative processes for all floor types.
6. Other duties as assigned by the manager.

Qualifications

1. Previous experience as a floor care technician or in a related role preferred.
2. Proven knowledge of floor care equipment and techniques required.
3. Knowledge and ability to follow safety procedures.
4. Requires frequent lifting, carrying, pushing, pulling of up to 50 lbs.
