Crothall Healthcare, a Compass Group company, is hiring a Floor Technician for the Novant Health facility in Clemmons, NC. This full-time role runs 4:00 pm – 12:00 am with rotating weekends and holidays. Online applications accepted only.

You will perform floor maintenance, operate industrial floor care equipment, and follow safety procedures. Prior floor care experience is preferred, with ability to lift up to 50 lbs.

Qualifications

• Previous floor care experience preferred.
• Proven knowledge of floor care equipment and techniques.
• Knowledge and ability to follow safety procedures.
• Requires frequent lifting, carrying, pushing, pulling of up to 50 lbs.

Responsibilities

• Maintains knowledge of hard-surface floor maintenance and uses proper procedures (stripping, refinishing, burnishing, spray cleaning, spray buffing).
• Operates various types of industrial floor care equipment.
• Utilizes automated equipment for cleaning large floor areas.
• Cleans carpet and upholstery (shampooing, damp surface, extractions, spot cleaning, vacuuming).
• Performs maintenance and restoration for all floor surface types.
• Other duties as assigned by manager.

• Fixed Pay Rate: $17.00 per hour.

Job Summary

Summary:Floor Technician is responsible for floor maintenance, restoration, and the operation of industrial floor care equipment.

Essential Functions:

• Maintains knowledge of principles of hard-surface floor maintenance and use proper procedures on hard floor care including stripping and refinishing, burnishing, spray cleaning, and spray buffing
• Operate various types of industrial floor care equipment
• Utilize automated equipment for cleaning of large area of floor surface
• Use the proper procedures on carpet and upholstering including shampooing, damp surface, extractions, spot cleaning, vacuuming, etc.
• Perform maintenance and restorative processes for all floor surface types
• Other duties as assigned by manager

Qualifications:

• Previous experience as a floor care technician or in related role preferred
• Proven knowledge of floor care equipment and techniques required
• Knowledge and ability to follow safety procedures
• Requires frequent lifting, carrying, pushing, pulling of up to 50 lbs.
