Job summary

SSC Services For Education in Austin, TX is hiring a full-time Floor Technician to maintain and restore hard floors and operate industrial floor care equipment at Lake Travis High School.

The role requires prior floor care experience, knowledge of equipment such as auto scrubbers and burnishers, and a schedule from 3:30 pm to 12:00 am, Monday through Friday, with competitive pay of $18.00–$19.00 per hour and benefits. Excellent growth opportunities and same-day pay available.

Qualifications

• Previous experience as a floor care technician or in a related role.
• Proven knowledge of floor care equipment and techniques.
• Knowledge and ability to follow safety procedures.
• Requires frequent lifting, carrying, pushing, pulling up to 50 lbs.

Responsibilities

• Maintain knowledge of hard-surface floor maintenance and perform stripping, refinishing, burnishing, spray cleaning, and spray buffing.
• Operate various types of industrial floor care equipment.
• Use automated equipment for cleaning large floor areas.
• Perform carpet and upholstery cleaning including shampooing, damp surface, extractions, spot cleaning, vacuuming.
• Conduct maintenance and restoration for all floor surface types.
• Other duties as assigned by manager.

• We are hiring immediately for a full time FLOOR TECHNICIAN position.
• Location: Lake Travis High School - 3324 Ranch Road 620 South, Austin, TX 78738. (Openings at other locations within school district available) Note: online applications accepted only.
• Schedule: Full time schedule; Monday through Friday, 3:30 pm to 12:00 am. More details upon interview. (Full and Part Time with the flexibility to meet most scheduling needs)
• Requirement: Prior floor technician experience is required; knowledge of using an auto scrubber and propane burnisher.
• Pay Range: $18.00 per hour to $19.00 per hour.

Job Summary
