Job Description

The Floor Technician is responsible for floor maintenance, restoration, and the operation of industrial floor care equipment in assigned location(s). Responsibilities may vary by location based on client requirements and business needs.

Job Responsibilities

1. Maintain a friendly, efficient, and positive customer service attitude towards customers, clients, and co-workers.
2. Anticipate and respond to customer needs.
3. Use proper procedures for hard floor care (stripping & refinishing, burnishing, spray cleaning, spray buffing) following the principles of hard surface floor maintenance.
4. Apply correct procedures for carpet and upholstery cleaning (shampooing, damp surface cleaning, extractions, spot cleaning, vacuuming).
5. Operate industrial floor care equipment as scheduled for large area cleaning.
6. Perform maintenance and restorative processes for all types of floor surfaces.
7. Properly process all waste, including municipal solid waste (MSW), infectious, and pharmaceutical waste, rendering infectious waste as MSW when applicable.
8. Remove trash, recyclables, soiled linen, used supplies, and equipment from work areas; disinfect receptacles and carts as needed.
9. Follow all safety, sanitation, and infection control standards as per Aramark and local regulations.
10. Adhere to appearance standards and wear the required uniform and PPE while working.
