STGi is seeking a Floor Technician to provide services at our Georgia War Veterans Home. GWVH will be opening a new unit dedicated to Veterans with PTSD, TBI, behavioral disorders, and substance use issues. Job Summary:

Maintain or restore floors in highly trafficked areas.

Essential Functions:

• Clean, maintain, and restore floor surfaces.
• Sanitize highly-trafficked spaces, which may contain biohazardous waste.
• Even the gloss, polish, or sealant coating on surfaces with appropriate tools.
• Utilize industrial or commercial-grade cleaning products or equipment.
• Work in all areas of the facility.
• Move intermittently during working hours.
• Handle interactions with residents, family members, staff, and visitors, including hostile or upset individuals.
• Communicate with maintenance and other facility personnel.
• Work beyond normal hours, including weekends and holidays, as needed.
• Handle and be exposed to hazardous chemicals safely.

Required Experience and Education

• On-the-job training provided.
• Effective English communication skills.
• Professional demeanor with residents and staff.
• Minimum one year of experience.
• High school diploma or equivalent.

Note: Selected candidates will receive safety care training during orientation.
