Job summary

AdventHealth in Orlando, FL is seeking a part-time Floor Technician to maintain clean, safe floors across assigned areas. You will operate commercial cleaning equipment, follow PPE protocols, and report equipment issues to the supervisor.

Requirements include a High School diploma or equiv., basic computer skills, and ability to communicate in English. Prior floor tech experience is preferred, with benefits from day one and a 401(k) plan.

Qualifications

• English communication is required.
• Basic computer skills and use of mouse/keyboard.
• Knowledge of floor care maintenance processes preferred.
• Ability to climb and work on ladders.

Responsibilities

• Adjust to staff shortages and cover other areas as needed.
• Use PPE and maintain safe, clean work areas.
• Analyze floors and apply correct maintenance procedures.
• Operate department-approved cleaning equipment and report issues.
• Suggest improvements to supervisor and document tasks completed.

Job Description

Adjusts to staff shortages and covers other assigned areas, as needed. Properly uses personal protective equipment. Analyzes carpeted and hard surface floors and applies correct maintenance procedures. Performs cleaning functions using the department approved process in all assigned areas. Monitors and reports any equipment issues or shortages and stocks supplies. Assesses areas of assignment and makes suggestions for improvement to the supervisor, documenting daily assignments completed. Other duties as assigned.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

• Knowledge of commonly-used concepts, practices, and procedures within a particular field [Required]

• Ability to maintain equipment and work areas in a clean and safe condition [Required]

• Able to communicate in English [Required]
