Job summary

Lexington Health and Rehabilitation Center is seeking a Floor Tech to buff, polish, strip and wax hard surfaces and keep areas clean and orderly. You will operate and maintain powered floor-care equipment and lead other team members to ensure timely completion of tasks.

Applicants should have at least one year of Floor Tech experience, follow established safety precautions, and communicate progress to the director.

Qualifications

• One year of experience as a Floor Tech.
• Distribution of duties across the floor care team.
• Adherence to safety precautions when using equipment.

Responsibilities

• Buffing/Polishing hard surfaces, stripping, waxing.
• Maintain areas in a clean and orderly manner.
• Operate and maintain powered equipment needed for the job.
• Lead, direct and follow up on other floor care team members.
• Follow established safety precautions when performing tasks and when using equipment and supplies.
• Plan, organize and evaluate work activities appropriately.
• Follow cleaning and operations procedures.
• Use time efficiently to complete duties within allotted times.
• Courteously communicate with facility personnel, residents and visitors.
• Inform director of work status.
