Job summary

Rockford Center is a 138-bed mental health facility located in Newark, DE, providing inpatient and partial behavioral health programs for children to older adults. This full-time Environmental Services Worker/Housekeeper/Floor Tech role runs from 6:00 AM to 2:30 PM and focuses on maintaining a clean, healthy environment for patients, staff and visitors.

Responsibilities include floor care, stripping/waxing, trash removal, bed making, linen handling and general cleaning of patient areas.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Two years of related hospital cleaning experience preferred.

• Maintain facility and furnishings in clean, orderly fashion including stripping, waxing, buffing and carpet cleaning.
• Move furniture when necessary.

• Dust furniture, clean windows, keep bathrooms clean and stocked.

Rockford Center is searching for an experienced Environmental Services Worker/Housekeeper/Floor Tech for a full-time position from 6:00 AM to 2:30 PM.

Rockford Center is a 138-bed mental health facility located in Newark, DE, providing easy access to a full complement of inpatient and partial behavioral health programs for children and adolescents, adults, and older adults. Rockford is the only child inpatient behavioral health facility in DE, offers an experienced and tenured senior management team, and serves New Castle County and northern Maryland.

Position Summary:

In this rewarding role, you will ensure the maintenance of a clean, healthy, and pleasant environment for patients, staff, and visitors, including specialized floor care and maintenance.

Responsibilities:

• Clean floors in-patient and non-patient areas using proper supplies and equipment
• Maintain facility and furnishings in clean, orderly fashion, including stripping, waxing, buffing, burnishing and carpet cleaning.
• Move furniture when necessary.
• Remove trash and waste from designated areas of facility
• Make beds correctly and remove and replace linens, placing in designated storage area for laundering
• Maintain facility and furnishings in clean, orderly fashion, including dusting furniture, cleaning windows, keeping bathrooms clean and supplies replenished
