Job summary

Carillon Senior Living in Lubbock, TX is seeking a Floor Tech to join the Health Center team. The role involves cleaning and polishing tile floors and vacuuming carpeted areas under supervision, with an emphasis on hospitality and resident privacy.

The position requires 6 months to 1 year of housekeeping experience, basic English, and ability to follow instructions. The schedule is Monday–Friday with alternating Saturdays, offering comprehensive benefits and opportunities for growth.

Qualifications

• Must have at least 9th grade education.
• Six months to one year housekeeping/cleaning experience.
• Previous floor maintenance experience preferred.
• Ability to understand and follow instructions in English.

Responsibilities

• Maintains floors and carpets within the Community.
• Vacuum, sweep, mop, buff, shampoo, and wax all floor surfaces in the common areas.
• Shampoo carpets and furniture in resident apartments and offices.
• Attends in-service training and education sessions, as assigned.
• Picks up and removes major trash from the Community.
• Clean and wash entrances, doors, windows, elevators, stair wells, hand rails, and walls.
• Maintains all equipment and supplies in proper condition.
• Assist in training new Floor Tech personnel.
• Performs specific work duties and responsibilities as assigned by supervisor.

Summary:

Under general direction from the Environmental Services Director, the Floor Tech cleans and polishes all tile floors and vacuums all carpeted floors throughout the facility as determined by daily task sheet and special assignments from the supervisor or director of the department.

Essential Job Duties:

• Maintains floors and carpets within the Community.
