SBM Management Services, LP is seeking a Floor Technician to safely perform floor care tasks including waxing, stripping, buffing, and routine cleaning according to procedures.

The role requires following safety rules, operating cleaning equipment, and maintaining floors across tile, carpet, and brick. Shifts are Sunday through Thursday 9:30pm–6:00am with pay of $15.75–$16.75 per hour, and SBM offers a comprehensive benefits package.

Qualifications

• 6 months to 1 year experience preferred; or equivalent education/experience.
• May require a valid driver’s license; forklift certification may be required.

Responsabilités

• Follow safety rules and procedures to complete floor care tasks.
• Operate motorized cleaning equipment and maintain assigned areas.
• Perform waxing, stripping, buffing, and cleaning of tile, carpet, and brick floors.
• Maintain daily upkeep and report hazards or issues promptly.
• Collaborate with team and respond to supervision as directed.

Job Overview

The Floor Technician will be responsible for safely performing assigned floor care functions based on standards and procedures, performs environmental services as needed, and performs floor care such as waxing, stripping, buffing, and other contractual duties according to regulations.

Roles & Responsibilities

• Comply with safety rules, policies, and procedures. Stop at risk behaviors in others and self
• Work with other employees in a team to complete assignments
• Maintain clean work area
• Follow all company procedures, policies, and rules
• Take direction and respond to supervision
• Talk with lead, supervisor, co-workers, managers, and customers in a professional manner
• Fill in during staff shortages, such as in custodial, recycle, or maintenance
• Support shift lead in completing punch-list items
• Use proper personal protective equipment that is required for assigned tasks
• Present a professional appearance and conduct
• Understand customer service and satisfaction.
• Understand reporting systems, and of the environment
• Operate motorized cleaning equipment
• Maintain daily upkeep of assigned area
• Perform cleaning and maintenance of all floors: tile, carpet , and brick flooring
• Complete work assignments in a timely manner
• Utilize the appropriate chemicals and supplies according to procedure
• Use and maintain equipment properly
• Operate and maintain all equipment correctly and safely
• Always observe safety precautions, using safety signs “wet floor”
• Ability to work without normal supervision
• Report safety hazards as appropriate

Education and/ or Experience: No education requirement 6 mo-1 year experience preferred: or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Certificates, Licenses, Registrations: May be required to have a valid driver’s license Complete all safety and task training certification May be required to be forklift certified

Knowledge, Skills, And Abilities:

• Ability to read and interpret instructions, procedures, manuals, and other documents
• Strong verbal and written communication skills
• Knowledge of cleaning methods and equipment and willing to share with team
• Knowledge of the upkeep and care of the cleaning equipment
• Knowledge of cleaning compounds and chemicals, and their safe, efficient use
