Job summary

Retro Fitness Jersey City is looking for a Floor Tech to keep the gym floor, equipment, walls and mirrors clean and inviting. You will be the face members see first, so a friendly demeanor and great attention to detail are essential.

Working inside the Retro Fitness Outlet, you will perform cleaning, equipment testing, stocking, lubrication, reporting issues, and daily cleaning tasks while adhering to company policies. Shifts include mornings, evenings and weekends, with a casual dress code.

Responsibilities

• Clean and maintain Retro Fitness outlet main floor.
• Test equipment for efficiency and safety.
• Stock products/items as needed.
• Lubricate and grease circuit training equipment.
• Report facility issues to management/ownership.
• Spot clean walls, mirrors, windows, and diamond plating.
• Re-rack weights and organize equipment.
• Disinfect equipment and upholstery; dusting of facilities.
• Follow company policies and procedures.

The Floor Tech employee is the face of the gym floor; you are the person a member sees when he or she is working out inside the facility. It is important that this person has a friendly demeanor with great eye for detail. The Floor Tech employee is responsible for the overall upkeep of the fitness floor, equipment, and surrounding areas, walls & mirrors.

• Re-racking of weights.

• Following company policies & procedures.

All Floor Tech employees are to wear company staff shirt along with either Khaki pants or black athletic pants. Sneakers must always be worn. No boots, heals, or open toe shoes or sandals. Floor Techs should always be well groomed and neat. Floor Techs are required to complete the Daily Cleaning Checklist and have a Manager sign off before completing their shift.
