Job summary

SBM Management Services, LP is seeking a Floor Technician to perform floor care (waxing, stripping, buffing) and related environmental services in a professional, safe manner. The role requires following procedures, working with a team, and maintaining cleanliness and equipment.

Flexibility to fill in during staff shortages and a focus on safety are essential. The position offers steady shifts (Sun-Wed and Wed-Sat options) with competitive hourly pay, and SBM provides comprehensive benefit

Qualifications

• Education and/ or Experience: No education requirement; 6 mo–1 year experience preferred, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities: Ability to read and interpret instructions, procedures, manuals, and other documents.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Knowledge of cleaning methods and equipment and willingness to share with team.
• Knowledge of cleaning compounds and chemicals and their safe, efficient use.

Responsibilities

• Perform floor care such as waxing, stripping, buffing, and other contractual duties following regulations.
• Maintain daily upkeep of assigned area and operate cleaning equipment safely.
• Follow safety rules, policies, and procedures; report hazards.
• Work with team to complete assignments and fill in during staff shortages.
• Present professional appearance and conduct; interact with customers professionally.

Job Overview

The Floor Technician will be responsible for safely performing assigned floor care functions based on standards and procedures, performs environmental services as needed, and performs floor care such as waxing, stripping, buffing, and other contractual duties according to regulations.

Roles & Responsibilities

• To perform this job successfully and safely, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. Other duties may be assigned Comply with safety rules, policies, and procedures. Stop at risk behaviors in others and self Work with other employees in a team to complete assignments Perform repetitive tasks Maintain clean work area Follow all company procedures, policies, and rules Take direction and respond to supervision Talk with lead, supervisor, co-workers, managers, and customers in a professional manner Fill in during staff shortages, such as in custodial, recycle, or maintenance Support shift lead in completing punch-list items Use proper personal protective equipment that is required for assigned tasks Present a professional appearance and conduct Understand customer service and satisfaction. Understand reporting systems, and of the environment Operate motorized cleaning equipment Maintain daily upkeep of assigned area Perform cleaning and maintenance of all floors: tile, carpet , and brick flooring Complete work assignments in a timely manner Utilize the appropriate chemicals and supplies according to procedure Use and maintain equipment properly Operate and maintain all equipment correctly and safely Always observe safety precautions, using safety signs “wet floor” Ability to work without normal supervision Report safety hazards as appropriate.
