Essential Position Responsibilities

1. Maintain knowledge of proper floor maintenance procedures for all floor surface types.
2. Ensure proper cleaning procedures for each floor type are performed.
3. Utilize various types of automated equipment for cleaning floor surfaces.
4. Perform ongoing maintenance reviews for equipment to ensure all equipment is functioning properly and report any issues to the manager.
5. Assist with cleaning of patient rooms, as needed.
6. Comply with proper handling and use of EVS chemicals and equipment.
7. Ensure EVS supply cart is filled with necessary materials at the beginning and end of each shift.
8. Learn Teletracking software and use approved electronic devices.
9. Collect and properly dispose of trash and waste material.
10. Replenish disposable items such as soap, paper towels, and toilet paper.
11. Clean and disinfect equipment and furniture.
12. Clean up spills promptly.
13. Dust high areas to maintain cleanliness.
14. Ensure proper use of personal protective equipment as needed.
15. Provide positive interactions with patients, visitors, and staff.

Qualifications

1. High School Diploma or GED.
2. Experience in a floor care technician or similar role is preferred.
3. No licensure or certifications required.

Work Environment: This position involves standing and/or walking 100% of the time, with the ability to push, pull, lift, and carry up to 50 lbs.
