Job summary

Northbrook Center for Rehabilitation & Healing is seeking a Floor Tech to support daily housekeeping operations in a healthcare setting. You will perform carpet care, tile maintenance, and basic housekeeping tasks to keep the facility clean and safe.

The role requires knowledge of floor care equipment and a high standard of cleanliness. Prior experience in a Skilled Nursing Facility is a plus, with opportunities for stable, full-time employment in Brooksville, FL.

Qualifications

• Experience in housekeeping in a healthcare setting preferred.
• Familiarity with cleaning equipment and floor care is beneficial.
• Duties include carpet and tile maintenance and trash runs.

Responsibilities

• Maintain carpet through shampooing, spotting, and vacuuming.
• Maintain tile through washing, waxing, buffing, and stripping.
• Perform housekeeping duties as needed.
• Handle daily trash runs from all locations.
• Contribute to other duties as assigned.

Floor Tech Job Summary:

The floor tech Performs the day-to-day activities of the Housekeeping Department in accordance with current Federal, State, Local and Departmental, rules, regulations and procedures, and guidelines. Assures that the facility is maintained in a clean, safe, and comfortable manner. The position carries blood and body fluid “Exposure Risk Level 1.”

Floor Tech Major Duties and Critical Tasks:

• Maintenance of carpet throughout the building including -shampooing, spotting, and vacuuming.
• Maintenance of all tile throughout the building including washing, waxing, buffing, and stripping.
• Performs housekeeping duties when needed.
• Responsible for trash runs during the day from all assigned locations.
• Other duties as assigned

Floor Tech Required Education and Experience:

• Knowledge of side by side, boost machine, and high-speed buffer
• High School Diploma or GED preferred
• Prior Experience in a Skilled Nursing Facility is a Plus
