Job summary

PCSI is seeking a Floor Tech at the El Paso port of entry to maintain and restore hard surface floors, clean baseboards and corners, and apply finishing techniques. The role reports to the project manager and is based in El Paso, Texas, with hours spanning the September–January period from 5:00 PM to 5:00 AM; outside that period, shifts may be morning or afternoon.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Minimum of one year prior experience as a janitor, custodian, or similar preferred.

Responsibilities

• Maintain hard surface floors by buffing, stripping, and refinishing floors.
• Clean baseboards, corners, and doors.
• Perform finishing techniques to protect floors.
• Vacuum and shampoo carpets to remove dirt and stains.
• Wipe down doors, furniture, vent covers, and equipment as needed.
• Perform special cleaning assignments; select appropriate cleaning chemicals for various surfaces.
• Maintain floor care equipment and supplies.
• Read MSDS for chemicals and solutions used in processes.
