Job summary

Paycom - ATS is seeking a floors tech to perform daily housekeeping tasks in a health facility, ensuring cleanliness, sanitation and safety per regulations. You will coordinate with nursing services, attend staff meetings, and assist in emergency evacuations if needed.

This role requires physical stamina to lift up to 25 pounds, ability to follow safety procedures for cleaning chemicals, and respectful interaction with residents who may be ill or distressed. Training provided.

Qualifications

• Must be able to push, pull, move and/or lift at least 25 pounds to a height of 5 feet and carry this weight up to 50 feet.
• Ability to follow written and oral instructions regarding cleaning chemicals and safety procedures.
• Ability to interact with residents who may be ill, elderly or emotionally upset in a professional, respectful manner.
• Strong attention to cleanliness, sanitation and safety in all housekeeping tasks.
• Ability to coordinate with nursing services and other departments as needed.

Responsibilities

• Perform daily housekeeping duties in resident living and recreational areas as directed.
• Maintain cleanliness and order of housekeeping areas and equipment.
• Clean and store equipment and supplies after use; report any accidents or incidents.
• Attend departmental meetings and participate in staff communication.
• Assist in evacuations during emergencies if required.

Job description

The primary purpose of your job position is to perform the day-to-day activities of the Housekeeping Department, more specifically the floors tech, in accordance with current federal, state, and local standards, guidelines and regulations governing our facility, and as may be directed by the Administrator, and/or the Housekeeping Supervisor, to assure that our facility is maintained in a clean, safe, and comfortable manner.Make sure that work/cleaning schedules are followed.Report all accidents/incidents to your supervisorCoordinate daily housekeeping services with nursing services when performingroutine cleaning assignments in resident living and/or recreational areas.Attend departmental and staff meetings as directed or called.Clean work/supply carts, equipment, etc., as necessary or directed.Make sure that equipment is cleaned and properly stored at the end of the shift.Perform day-to-day housekeeping functions as assigned.May be necessary to assist in the evacuation of residents during emergency situations.Honor the residents’ personal and property rights.Inform resident when it is necessary to move his/her personal possessions during cleaning procedures.Must maintain the care and use of supplies, equipment, etc., and maintain the appearance of housekeeping areas, must perform regular inspections of resident rooms/units for sanitation, order, safety and proper performance of assigned duties.Must be able to follow written and oral instructions concerning the mixing of cleaning compounds, liquids, disinfecting solutions, etc.Must be able to relate to and work with ill, disabled, elderly, emotionally upset, and, at times, hostile people within the facility.Must be able to push, pull, move, and/or lift a minimum of 25 pounds to a minimum height of 5 feet and be able to push, pull, move, and/or carry such weight a minimum distance of 50 feet.
