Job summary

ABM Industries in Santa Clara is seeking a reliable Floor Tech to maintain carpet and hard surface floors. This night shift position pays $25.00 per hour and offers ABM's comprehensive benefits package.

You will clean and maintain floors, follow chemical safety procedures, and report needs for repairs. Must be at least 18 with 3-5 years floor care experience; a valid driver's license may be required.

Qualifications

• Must be 18 years of age or older.
• 3-5 years of experience in floor care (waxing, stripping, buffing, polishing floors; shampoo carpets; windows washer; pressure washer).
• Valid Driver's License may be required.

Responsibilities

Overview

We are looking for a reliable and experienced Floor Tech to maintain and upkeep carpet and hard surface floors.

Hourly Pay: $25.00

The pay listed is the hourly range or the hourly rate for this position. A specific offer will vary based on applicant’s experience, skills, abilities, geographic location, and alignment with market data.

Shift: Mon-Fri (6pm-2:30am)

Responsibilities

• Clean and maintain buildings/facilities
• Follows procedures for the use of chemical cleaners and power equipment in order to prevent damage to floors and fixtures
• Notify Manager concerning the need for minor or major repairs or additions to building operating systems
• Establish and maintain effective communication and working relationships with clients, co-workers, shift coordinators, supervisors, managers, etc.
• Comply with all safety, security, compliance, and quality standards and procedures established by the Company, Clients, and regulatory authorities
• Cleans building floors by sweeping, mopping, scrubbing, or vacuuming them. Follows procedures for the use of chemical Cleaners and power equipment in order to prevent damage to floors and fixtures.
• Strips, seals, finishes, and polishes floors
• Cleans and vacuums carpeted areas, including application of spot cleaning treatment
• Drives vehicles (if required) to perform or travel to cleaning work, including vans, industrial trucks, or industrial vacuum cleaners
• Miscellaneous duties as assigned

Qualifications

Required

• Must be 18 years of age or older
• Must meet all requirements to receive approval for working in specific ATS environments (if applicable), including ten-year work history if available
• 3-5 years of experience (waxing, stripping, buffing, polishing floors, shampoo carpets, windows washer and pressure washer)
• No high school diploma, GED or college degree required
• Must have a valid Driver's License.

Preferred

• Customer service experience
• 3-5 years of experience as a Floor Tech
