Job summary

Oak Crest Village by Erickson Senior Living, on the campus in Parkville, MD, seeks a Housekeeping Utility Worker to maintain cleanliness and assist with event setup. The role emphasizes safe operation of cleaning equipment and respectful service to residents.

Responsibilities include floor care, carpet care, trash removal, furniture moving, and delivering items. A valid driver’s license and ability to obtain a DOT medical certificate are required. Compensation is hourly.

Qualifications

  • Valid driver’s license and ability to obtain DOT medical certificate.
  • Experience with carpet and hard floor care equipment preferred.
  • May require CDL Class B with air brake endorsement.

Responsibilities

  • Maintain hard floor surfaces: scrub, mop, burnish, and wax.
  • Maintain carpeted surfaces: extraction, vacuuming, and spotting.
  • Remove trash and recyclables following procedures.
  • Move furniture in common spaces and residential areas.
  • Deliver resident items to storage, vehicles, or apartments.
  • Operate housekeeping equipment safely.

Job description

Location: Oak Crest Village by Erickson Senior Living

Join us as a Housekeeping Utility Worker. In this role, you will maintain community cleanliness using specialized equipment, clean building areas, floors, and surfaces, set up rooms for events, handle trash removal, and assist with moving heavy objects—all while enjoying the convenience of staying on campus.

Requirements

Valid Drivers License and must be able to obtain a D.O.T. Physical/Medical Examiner’s Certificate

Compensation: commensurate for experience between $15.00 - $16.00 hourly

How You Will Make An Impact
  • Maintain hard floor surfaces, including scrubbing, mopping, burnishing, stripping, buffing and waxing
  • Maintain carpeted surfaces, including extracting, interim cleaning, spotting, drying, vacuuming
  • Clean vertical surfaces such as doors, walls, or windows.
  • Remove trash including refuse and recycling by following procedures utilizing compactors, trucks, and carts
  • Move and arrange furniture in the community common spaces and offices, as well as in residential apartments
  • Deliver residents items to and from storage, vehicles, apartments or other areas.
  • Operate housekeeping equipment/vehicles in a safe manner.
What You Will Need
  • Current and valid driver’s license
  • Ability to safely operate carpet care equipment, hard floor care equipment, trash removal equipment, and any other equipment necessary for the cleanliness of the community
  • Previous experience in carpet care and floor finishing techniques preferred
  • May require a CDL class B, with air brake endorsement.
  • Must have a current and valid D.O.T. Physical/Medical Examiner’s Certificate.
