Job summary

Cantex Continuing Care Network seeks a Floor Technician to perform scheduled floor care tasks and related duties in a healthcare environment. The role includes mopping, sweeping, dusting, carpet care, window washing, furniture arrangement, and general cleaning of facilities and equipment under the supervision of the Housekeeping Supervisor.

Qualified candidates will have experience in floor care, preferably in an institutional setting, and strong English reading/writing abilities.

Qualifications

• Experience in Floor Care.
• Experience in institutional housekeeping is helpful.
• Experience in the use of floor-care equipment is helpful.
• Ability to read, write, and speak the English language.

Responsibilities

• Maintains all floor surfaces.
• Buffs, strips, waxes floors and performs top scrubs as directed.
• Extracts and vacuums carpets as directed by Supervisor.
• Uses proper chemicals and equipment.
• Reports repairs to Supervisor or maintenance department.
• Requests needed supplies and equipment from Supervisor.
• Identifies and corrects safety hazards and follows safety rules.
• Attends weekly in-services and complies with policies.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
