Job summary

CareCore at Westmoreland is seeking a dependable Floor Tech to maintain floors and support the Environmental Services team. This full-time role runs 7:00 AM to 3:00 PM, five days a week with every 3rd weekend off, ensuring a clean and safe environment for residents.

Responsibilities include operating floor care equipment, stripping, waxing, and deep cleaning floors, while following infection control and safety procedures and assisting the housekeeping team as needed.

Qualifications

• Previous floor care experience preferred, but training is provided.
• Experience in a healthcare or long-term care setting is a plus.
• Ability to safely operate floor care equipment.
• Reliable, dependable, and able to work independently.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.

• Maintain all hard floors and carpets throughout the facility.
• Operate floor care equipment including buffers, burnishers, scrubbers, and carpet extractors.
• Strip, wax, buff, and polish floors according to facility standards.
• Complete routine and deep cleaning of floors in resident rooms and common areas.
• Follow infection control and safety procedures at all times.
• Assist the housekeeping team as needed to maintain a clean, welcoming environment.
• Report equipment issues or maintenance concerns promptly.
