Job summary

Interstate Premier Facility Services Provider is seeking a Floor Technician to service client sites. The candidate should be self-motivated, independent, yet a team player and able to work evenings. Salary is $18.00/hour with a Monday–Sunday schedule 4:00 PM to 10:30 PM with rotations.

The role involves cleaning hard surfaces and carpet, using chemicals and equipment, and adhering to safety protocols. Reliable transportation and legal work status in the United States are required.

Qualifications

• Prolonged periods of standing.
• Must be able to push, pull, twist, bend, and reach from floor to waist height, and from waist to above head.
• Must be able to lift and carry up to 50 lbs.
• Candidate must have reliable transportation, be legally authorized to work in the United States, and be able to pass a background check.

Responsibilities

• Maintain floors (hard surfaces and carpet): dust and wet mop, strip, wax, buff, shampoo, extraction and bonneting.
• Apply stripper to floors to remove old wax and refinish with new wax.
• Complete assigned areas in a satisfactory and timely manner according to schedule.
• Utilize the appropriate chemicals and supplies according to procedure.
• Use and maintain equipment properly.
• Operate and maintain all equipment safely.
• Observe safety precautions (wet floor signs) at all times.
• Report safety hazards as appropriate.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Schedule

4:00 PM to 10:30 PM Monday to Sunday with rotations

Pay

$18.00/hour

Job tasks include, but are not limited to:

• Responsible for the overall floor maintenance of hard surface and carpet (dust and wet mopping, stripping, waxing, buffing, shampooing, extraction & bonneting) of areas that include offices, corridors, lobbies, entrances, stairwells and other public areas.
• Applies stripper to floors (slippery surface) to remove old wax then refinishes floors with new wax product.
• Responsible for satisfactory and timely completion of assigned project area according to schedule.
• Utilize the appropriate chemicals and supplies according to procedure.
• Use and maintain equipment properly.
• Operate and maintain all equipment correctly and safely
• Observe safety precautions at all times (uses safety signs "wet floor")
• Reports safety hazards as appropriate
• Perform other duties as assigned
