Job summary

Boxcar in Greensboro is seeking a friendly Floor Team member for a part-time role. You will greet guests, keep the floor safe and clean, and support the team during busy nights.

No prior experience required; personality, reliability, and hospitality matter. You’ll assist with bussing, restocking, and safety tasks, with weekend and holiday shifts. Compensation ranges from $13 to $17 per hour.

Qualifications

• Experience not required; strong personality and reliability are valued.
• Must be able to stand and walk for 8-hour shifts.
• Must be 21+; ServSafe Alcohol certification is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Be the first impression by greeting guests and checking IDs.
• Maintain a safe, clean floor and assist bar/security as needed.
• Assist with arcade operations and handle minor issues.
• Bus glassware and pizza trays; keep area tidy.
• Open and close the venue, including setup and cleanup.

Our Floor Team are the reason the arcade and bar stay safe, clean, and fun. We’re looking for people who can hustle, communicate, and are great with people. Prior experience is not necessary, but personality is. If you’d like to be paid to be a part of the good time, keep reading.

What You'll Do

• Be our first impression. You are often the first face guests see at the door. Greet them warmly, check IDs, spot fakes, and enforce relevant alcohol and age restrictions.
• Protect the vibe. Watch the floor for safety. Communicate with the bar and security teams to handle intoxicated guests or aggressive behavior before it becomes a problem.
• Arcade first aid. Help guests with minor game issues like token jams or stuck skee-balls. You’re the first line of defense before communicating larger issues to the Game Techs.
• Patrol the floor. A clean space makes happy customers. Bus glassware and pizza trays, handle spills immediately, and keep the floor sanitized and looking sharp.
• Open & close. Help get the building ready to open or close it down. Sweep, mop, remove trash, set out tables, sanitize restrooms. You get it.
