Job summary

LACOSTA Facility Support Services in Illinois is hiring for a full-time Janitorial technician responsible for maintaining an outstanding appearance of floors (wood and carpet) across the facility. You will operate floor scrubber machines and perform sweeping, mopping, and routine inspections to ensure cleanliness and safety.

Candidates must be able to identify floor care machines, comply with safety rules, pass background check and drug screening, and wear required PPE.

Responsibilities

• Maintain an outstanding appearance to all floors (hard wood and carpet).
• Operate floor scrubber machines to clean hard surface floors.
• Sweep, mop, and maintain floors before and after scrubbing.
• Mix and use cleaning solutions according to safety guidelines.
• Perform routine inspections and basic maintenance on equipment.
• Follow safety procedures and proper use of PPE.
• Report maintenance issues, spills, or safety hazards promptly.
• Complete tasks efficiently while meeting cleanliness standards.

Job Skills / Requirements

Job Schedule: Monday-Friday, 40hrs/week (Full Time)

• 1st Shift: 7:00AM-3:30PM

Job Duties:

Maintaining an outstanding appearance to all floors (hard wood and carpet) throughout the facility.

• Operate floor scrubber machines to clean hard surface floors
• Sweep, mop, and maintain floors before and after scrubbing
• Mix and use cleaning solutions according to safety guidelines
• Perform routine inspections and basic maintenance on equipment
• Follow safety procedures and proper use of personal protective equipment (PPE)
• Report maintenance issues, spills, or safety hazards promptly
• Complete tasks efficiently while meeting cleanliness standards

Requirements

• MUST be able to identify floor care machines and have experience using them.
• Pass background check and drug screening
• Must comply with all safety rules, policies, and procedures.
• Physical requirements: walking, standing, reaching, bending, and lifting 40lbs independently.
• Must wear LACOSTA shirt, steel-toed shoes/boots, safety glasses, safety vest, ear plugs, and long pants while working.
• Remove all jewelry and accessories.
