Pillar Innovations in Grantsville, MD seeks an experienced Safety & Compliance Leader to own the safety program across fabrication, assembly, and shop floors. You will coach welders, machinists, painters, and panel builders, driving a culture that empowers workers to stop work for safety concerns.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of active safety or compliance experience in heavy industrial settings.
• Bachelor’s degree in Safety, Industrial Hygiene, Engineering, or Management or equivalent.

Responsibilities

• Mentor and train shop personnel to promote safe work practices.
• Lead weekly safety meetings for facility personnel.
• Conduct forklift operator training and maintain certification records.
• Ensure compliance with safety policies and document practices.
• Identify and correct deficiencies in safety practices with production teams.
• Perform monthly facility safety audits and track findings to closure.
• Teach hands-on safety classes in shop or classroom.
