Gage Hospitality Group is currently seeking a fun and passionateFloor Managerto joinAcantolocated on Michigan Avenue, steps from Millennium Park. This individual will be responsible for ensuring the restaurant's high productivity, quality, and customer service standards are maintained.

FloorManager Responsibilities:

  • Report directly to the Director of Operations
  • Opening duties include restaurant walk-through to ensure the restaurant is ready for service (assess maintenance needs, temperature control and cleanliness)
  • Manage the floor, including touching tables, running food and monitoring the door
  • Count, prepare, and secure the bar drawer and bank
  • Conduct pre-shift with staff (review menu, daily specials and business volume)
  • Coordinate staff schedules and training to meet the needs of the restaurant
  • Audit daily employee punch times, ensure FOH staff adheres to time keeping procedures
  • Closing duties include, writing daily recaps, reconcile bank, complete restaurant walk-through
  • Assist BOH Management in the supervision of the BOH staff
  • Communicate cordially, effectively and clearly with all employees, managers and guests

Required Education, Experience and Documentation:

  • City of Chicago Food Service Manager Certificate
  • High school diploma or GED
  • 3+ years experience in hospitality industry
